The Innocents

Crumbles of laughter

With the morning light

The heart just as pure as the dew of night

God set the rules that we abide

Nature set the stars yet we are diamonds of the sky

We are the gems that shine and say

Life so innocent and precious in many ways

We are the reasons for unconditional smiles

Holding our hands we can cover a thousand miles

Devoid of anything to gain

Devoid of greed, devoid of pain

We are crystal clear image next to the lord

Joining in the row we are the pearls of god

P.S. This poem was written for the children of ‘The Innocenta’, – an orphanage.
