New Walls

New surroundings, new walls,

Smiles down every hall,

I’ve been here before,

Though I’m not keeping score.

Shackles have come undone,

Thoughts of old, I shall shun,

I can hear the calls of fresh perspective,

In this new environment, I will be creative.

Want to settle down,

Until the day I wear the crown,

Grow some roots and let them flourish,

At last, my corpse can finally nourish.
